Right across the street from the MUD Project is another great place sustaining the local economy in Missoula; Home ReSource is a place for people to donate leftover construction materials, old furniture, and pretty much anything else you’d find in a house. After rating and organizing the donations, they are sold back to the community for a discount price. They also offer job training in various construction practices. On top of all of that, they offer deconstruction services where every ounce of usable material in a structure is brought back into the store. We had a great interview with their new executive director, Katie Deuel, and are so glad we stumbled upon another sustainable business model that neither of us had known about.
