After stopping for a night at Mundo Hot Springs near Cambridge, ID to wait out a storm, we went into town to grab some grub. We were given recommendations for The Ranch House, so we decided to stop by. As we were locking up our bikes, a man walked by and suggested we try the burgers, as they were locally grown, delicious natural beef. Come to find out this man, Victor Ward, runs Weiser River Signature Beef and provided the patties for this restaurant. We ended up taking a ride in his truck to grab an interview with him and some of the people he works with and trusts. We ended up learning a lot about raising cattle, and doing so with integrity: raised mostly on grass in wide open fields, without $2 hormone implants to get an extra $80 per steer.
We ended up going back to The Ranch House and trying out one of these burgers… needless to say, it was delicious. Thanks for your time Victor!
